Description

Contract Length: 13 weeks.

·  Start Date: ASAP.

·  Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36hrs.

·  Primary Location: AWH Emergency Department.

·  Shift Requirements: 12 hour days/pm 0500-1700, 0900-2100, 1000-2200, 1100-2300PM Shift would start 11am or 2pm.

·  Float requirements: May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford and Stanley.

·  On Call/Call Back Requirements: Possibility for on call and would be asked in advance but would rarely happen.

·  Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday.

·  Required Certifications:  WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC and PALS- ARC or AHA.

·  Minimum Experience: 2 years.

Prior Travel experience: Prior travel preferred but if no prior travel experience, 2 yrs of trauma I or 2 experience is required to be considered.

Trauma Level II experience required.

·  Charting Experience: EPIC required. ·  Unit Information: Trauma level II, 18 bed unit, stroke certified, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, respiratory, etc.

Very face-paced environment.

3-4 pts per nurse.

Epic computer charting.

Pyxis medication dispenser.

RNs draw labs, lab in house, RN does neb treatments.

RT in house.

Xray staff on site in ED.

·  Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely.

·  Scrub Colors: any color.

•Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.

Travelers can be put on call during the 36 hours of unbillable low census.

If called back in, they will have call back pay.

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation.

Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.

During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times.

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
