Required Qualifications:

• Min 2 years of RN Stepdown experience required.
• Must Have experience with VAD specifically with HeartMate 3, Cardio Thoracic, Cabg, Transplant with heart and lungs, Coronary bypass, Tavers, valve replacement exp. required
• NY State license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Step-Down Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves providing advanced nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care units to less acute settings, ensuring continuous, comprehensive, and compassionate patient management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with complex medical procedures and diverse patient populations

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments such as IV infusions, suturing, catheterization, and ventilator management while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Monitor patients' conditions continuously using telemetry and other advanced monitoring systems; respond promptly to critical changes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care involving physicians, therapists, and support staff to facilitate seamless patient transitions across care settings.
