PAY:
Travelers Pay:
Taxable Amount - $39/hr on W2
Lodging Stipend - $700 weekly
Meals Stipend - $546 weekly
Weekly Gross - $2,650 weekly including stipend for 36 hours.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-NICU
Location - 1401 East State Street, Rockford, IL 61104
Duration - 13 weeks contract
Day Shift - 7 am to 7:30 pm, every other weekend
Weekly Hours - 36 hours
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU.
Assess, monitor, and document neonatal patients' condition, vital signs, and response to treatment.
Administer medications, IV fluids, TPN, blood products, and other prescribed therapies.
Manage ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen therapy, and other respiratory support equipment.
Assist with neonatal resuscitation, intubation, central line insertion, PICC lines, and other bedside procedures.
Monitor feeding tolerance and administer enteral and parenteral nutrition.
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate and support parents on infant care, breastfeeding, discharge planning, and family-centered care.
Respond promptly to neonatal emergencies and maintain compliance with NICU protocols and patient safety standards.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and Joint Commission guidelines.
REQUIREMENT:
Mid to large hospital experience.
NRP and IL RN License required
Perferred Certification: RNC-NIC, CCRN
