Description
RN Case Manager – Simplified
Position: RN Case Manager
Facility: Acute Care Hospital – Magnet, Level II Trauma
Location: Alaska
Start: ASAP
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day
Weekend: Every other weekend / 4 weekend days per 4 weeks
Call: No
Requirements
- AK RN License – required; must be in hand for Auto Offer
- Acute Care Hospital experience – REQUIRED
- Epic experience – REQUIRED
- BLS – preferred, not required
- ACM certification – preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years RN/Case Management experience
- Must have case management/discharge planning experience
- Behavioral health-only experience does not qualify
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Travel experience not required
Main Responsibilities
- Case management and discharge planning
- Care coordination
- Assess patient needs and develop care plans
- Utilization review and medical necessity
- Prior authorizations
- Continued-stay reviews
- Work with physicians, social workers, therapy, and other departments
- Use Epic for documentation
- Apply InterQual/Milliman guidelines and CMS requirements
