UNIT:  ER
CLINICAL INTERVIEW W/MGR APPROVAL

Minimum years of experience: 2 years of ER experience. Would prefer Level I Trauma experience but willing to consider those without.  Will consider first time traveler

Required Certifications:  BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC; CPI/MOAB preferred

Patient Types: Average visits/day: 120, Sepsis, DKA, MI, stroke, IVDA, ETOH, ortho-trauma.  Trauma – all types.  Predominantly 65+ with multiple comorbidities.  Heavy psych and addiction population.  Emergency scale – heavy 2-3’s

Skills required:  Trauma experience (trauma cert required), stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, comfortability with vent management, management of critical care drips, TPA administration, conscious sedation, assisting with splinting.  Basic nursing knowledge – NGT placement, IV starts, foley placement, wound care.  Strong assessment skills, good communication skills, heavy focus on positive patient interaction and positive patient experience
EPIC experience required
