Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced RN Stepdown professional with 2+ years of recent acute care experience in a fast-paced hospital setting. Strong experience caring for complex cardiothoracic, cardiac surgery, VAD, heart failure, and transplant patients.
Requires experience with CABG, TAVR, valve replacement, arrhythmia management, and post-operative cardiac care. Must be comfortable managing transplant medications and caring for heart, lung, liver, and kidney transplant patients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage and provide specialized care for patients with HeartMate 3 VADs, advanced heart failure, and post-cardiothoracic surgical conditions.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for CABG, coronary bypass, TAVR, and valve replacement procedures.
• Care for heart and lung transplant patients, including administration and monitoring of transplant medications and immunosuppressive therapies.
• Monitor, assess, and manage cardiac arrhythmias and complications associated with advanced heart failure and cardiothoracic conditions.
• Provide comprehensive care for heart, liver, and kidney transplant patients while monitoring organ function, medications, and post-transplant recovery.

Skills Required:

• VAD experience, specifically with HeartMate 3
• Cardio Thoracic exp required
• Cabg experience required
• Transplant with heart and lungs required
• Coronary bypass exp required
• Tavers exp required
• valve replacement exp. required
• Needs to know what to expect in management of arrhythmias heart failure, transplant medications, liver and kidney transplants experience required.
