Operating Room RN

Department Details

The OR has 7 total rooms that are not separated by specialty:

• 4 main operating rooms
• 3 minor rooms

RNs will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of surgical cases, including:

• General surgery
• Robotic surgery with da Vinci
• Orthopedics
• Total joint procedures with Mako
• OB/GYN
• C-sections
• Podiatry
• Urology
• Pain management
• Endoscopy

Experience

• No new graduates
• Minimum 6 months–1 year of RN experience
• Candidates with 6 months of OR experience must be strong clinically
• Previous OR experience preferred
• Open to cross-training candidates from other specialties
• Critical care experience preferred; acute-care experience required

Schedule

• Days: 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
• 4x10-hour shifts
• On-call: 1 day per week
• Post-call day off
• Every 5th weekend
• 5 positions available

Compensation

• 1 year: $39.95/hr
• 10 years: $52.94/hr
• 15+ years: up to $60.00/hr

Differentials:

• Night/Evening: $3.25/hr
• Weekend: 10% of base pay
• BSN: $1.00/hr
• MSN: $2.00/hr
• Driving more than 1 hour: $4.00/hr

Sign-On Bonus:

• 0–10 years experience: $20,000
• 10+ years experience: $30,000
• Lump sum paid at 90 days with a 3-year commitment

Relocation Assistance

• Up to $3,000 for moves of 150–1,000 miles
• Up to $5,000 for moves over 1,000 miles
• Paid at 30 days with a 1-year commitment

Education & Certifications

Education:

• ADN, BSN, or MSN

ED Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• CPI

OR Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Verbal CPI
