Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Shift Length: 12.5 hours
Contract: 13 weeks

Unit Size: 28 beds
Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
Guaranteed Hours: 48

Position Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN provides specialized nursing care to patients who require a higher level of monitoring and treatment than patients on a regular medical-surgical floor but do not require admission to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The nurse will care for patients transitioning from the ICU as well as patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions. The role requires strong assessment, monitoring, clinical judgment, and the ability to recognize changes in patient condition.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• 1–2 years of acute-care RN experience;
• PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring/telemetry
