• 8-hour shifts
• 5 days per week
• Call rotation required
• Weekday/weekend scheduling may apply

Position Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Psychologist to provide comprehensive mental health services within a correctional healthcare setting. The psychologist will work as part of an interdisciplinary mental health team, providing assessments, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing psychological care for inmates/residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings, assessments, and clinical interviews.
• Review medical and psychological records to evaluate patient needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual psychological counseling and treatment.
• Conduct regular mental health rounds, including in segregation and other restricted housing areas.
• Provide crisis assessments, counseling, and confrontation-avoidance interventions.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' mental health status and treatment progress.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, mental health providers, security staff, and other members of the care team.
• Communicate patient information appropriately to ensure continuity and coordination of care.
• Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques in the treatment of patients.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist
• Must be at least Board Eligible to qualify for privileges.
• U.S. Citizenship required for ICE clearance.
• Ability to successfully complete the required background and credit investigation.
• ICE clearance required before starting.
• ICE clearance typically takes 4–6 weeks from initiation.
• Must be available for a full-time, in-person schedule.
