Dietitian – Travel Contract

Position Requirements

• Specialty: Dietitian
• Experience: Minimum 2 years required
• Required Experience: 2 years of ICU experience and nutrition support, including custom PN management of both macronutrients and micronutrients
• First-Time Travelers: Yes, accepted
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 100 miles of the facility
• Pending State License: Accepted
• BLS: Not required
• RQI Certification: Not required
• COVID Vaccine: Optional. UNMH requires reporting of COVID vaccination numbers. Upload vaccination series or Aya declination.
• Weekend Requirement: Monday–Friday; no weekend requirement
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: No floating outside the assigned scope
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
• RTO: Requests greater than 7 days require approval
• Guaranteed Hours: Contracted weekly hours are guaranteed; facility may call off up to 3 times
• OT: Overtime applies after 48 hours for contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025
• Contract Length: New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to adult patients across acute care and progressive care floors.
• Provide nutrition care in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Manage nutrition support, including enteral nutrition (EN) and parenteral nutrition (PN).
• Manage custom PN formulas, including both macronutrients and micronutrients.
• Provide nutrition education across a variety of disease states.
• Participate in interdisciplinary plan-of-care rounds.
• Expected daily caseload: 6–10 patients per day.
