Description

Pharmacist – Acute Care Pharmacy | Day Shift

Shift: Days, 7on/7off – Thursday-Wednesday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Contract: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Department: Acute Care Pharmacy
Location: Springfield, MO
Position: Pharmacist
Openings: 1
Assignment: 13 weeks
Extension: Very likely for at least 1 extension if performance is good
Weekend/call coverage as required by facility
Local candidates receive $10 less than the posted travel rate

Required Experience

1 year of pharmacist experience required
New graduates will be considered
Experience in acute care/central pharmacy preferred
Experience coordinating pharmacy workflow and working with pharmacy technicians is preferred
Must be comfortable with medication verification and central pharmacy operations

Required License & Certification

Active Missouri Pharmacist License
AHA BLS required
Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required November 1–April 1
Flu declinations are not accepted

Required Skills / Responsibilities

EPIC experience
Verify and check medications using EPIC dispense prep
Verify IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, and other medications
Check and restock crash/code carts
Verify medication kits and prepack items
Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy
Oversee and redirect pharmacy technicians as needed
Support daily central pharmacy operations

Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if applicable

Confirm availability for the 7-on/7-off schedule
