RN – Nurse Lead
Description
Provides unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and nursing staff. Supervises and directs assigned nursing and ancillary personnel while exercising professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Ensures patients receive safe, professional, cost-effective care that promotes positive clinical outcomes and high patient satisfaction. Assesses patient care processes and takes appropriate steps to improve the overall quality and patient experience.
Position Requirements
Schedule
- Day Shift
- 5 × 8-hour shifts
- Monday–Friday
- Shift times: 5:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Schedule and start times may rotate
- No Call
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of charge/lead nursing experience required
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required
- Trauma Center experience preferred
- Five years of technical experience preferred
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice: Required
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
- ACLS: Required
- PALS: Required
Preferred Certifications
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification: Preferred
- CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor: Preferred
