Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Telemetry for a 13-week travel assignment. The unit primarily cares for a mix of Medical-Surgical Telemetry and PCU patients, with possible medical overflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical-Surgical Telemetry and PCU patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and recognize dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications, including heparin and non-titrated cardiac/vasoactive drips.
• Manage IVs, peripheral lines, central lines, and PICC lines.
• Perform blood product administration and phlebotomy.
• Provide respiratory care, including oxygen therapy and BiPAP/CPAP management.
• Manage chest tubes and tracheostomy care as required.
• Care for patients with CVA, post-tPA conditions, seizures, renal failure, and other acute medical conditions.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization and angiography.
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activities.
• Perform wound care, surgical drain management, and feeding tube care.
• Maintain isolation precautions and follow infection-control procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Safely float to other units or nearby sister facilities when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license
• AHA - BLS,ACLS
• NIHSS required
• Cerner experience
• Willingness to float within the hospital and nearby sister facilities
• Must be available to work every other holiday
