Description
Specialty: Respiratory Therapist – NICU/PEDS
Shift: 12-Hour Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
🏥 Facility
- 247 Licensed Beds
- Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
- Level IV NICU
- Teaching Hospital
- Certified Stroke Center
- Chest Pain Center
👩⚕️ Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Respiratory Therapy experience
- 2 years of pediatric-only RT experience within the last 5 years
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must have experience with pediatric/neonatal populations
- RRT or CRT
- North Carolina RT License
- BLS, PALS, ACLS & NRP required
- IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience required
- EPIC experience preferred; EPIC testing required for faster onboarding
🩺 Patient Population
This is a children’s hospital, and the RT will provide respiratory care throughout the facility, including:
- NICU
- PICU
- Pediatric ED
- Pediatric CVICU
- Pediatric PCU
- General Pediatric Floors
ED/ICU experience must be specified when submitting the candidate.
📅 Schedule
- 36 hours/week
- 12-hour shifts
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No call
- Travelers work approximately 75% of holidays
- RTO: Up to 6 days may be approved, excluding holidays
- Shift times: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM / 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
- Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
📍 Important
- Traveler’s permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTs will not float to another facility
- Free parking
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
⭐ First-time travelers are welcome!
⭐ Strong pediatric-only RT experience is required.
⭐ Pediatric/NICU/PICU ventilator experience is highly important.
