Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, performing dental cleanings, and assisting the dentist in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate is committed to patient comfort, clinical excellence, and promoting overall oral health.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures
- Conduct oral health assessments and document findings
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as permitted by state regulations
- Screen patients for signs of periodontal disease, oral cancer, and other oral health conditions
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure compliance with infection control standards
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop patient treatment plans
- Ensure patient comfort and provide exceptional customer service throughout each visit
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Local anesthesia certification (if required by state regulations)
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Experience with electronic dental records preferred

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time
Experience: New graduates welcome; prior clinical experience preferred.
License/Certification: Current Dental Hygienist License and BLS/CPR Certification required.
