Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiography Technologist

Description

Performs cardiovascular and non-invasive diagnostic studies and treatments, including comprehensive echocardiographic examinations. Performs M-Mode studies with required calculations, 2-D imaging with all necessary views and measurements, and Doppler echocardiography with appropriate analysis and documentation.

Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret diagnostic information based on the patient's age-specific needs, including pediatric and geriatric studies. Anticipates physician requirements and identifies potential patient concerns during examinations.

Position Requirements

Schedule

• Day Shift
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• On-call required
• Echocardiography (ECHO) experience required

Education & Experience

• Two years of experience as a Cardiac Ultrasound Sonographer or completion of a one-year certified Cardiac Ultrasound program: Preferred
• Two years of experience as a Vascular Sonographer or completion of a certified Vascular Sonography program: Preferred
• Two years of experience as a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer or completion of a certified Pediatric Sonography program: Preferred
• One year of experience as a Fetal Echocardiography Sonographer or completion of a certified Fetal Echocardiography program: Preferred

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS): Required
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT): Required
• Pediatric Echocardiography (PE): Required
• ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCCS: Required
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RDCS: Required
• RVT or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS): Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS): Required
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification: Required

Preferred Certification

• Fetal Echocardiography (FE): Preferred
