Ratios: 1:1 to 1:3
Every other weekend
Holidays rotate with core staff
No floating
3 shifts of unit-specific orientation
Cerner EMR
Navy blue scrubs

Required Certifications

BLS
NRP
COVID vaccine required

Unit / Patient Population

Premature and late-preterm infants
Rule-out sepsis
Infants of diabetic mothers (IDGDM)
Neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
Some NICU readmissions
No surgical patients
Patients may discharge directly home or transfer to Pediatrics

Unit Support & Equipment

Ventilator patients
RT available 24/7 and manages vents
Neonatologist or pediatrician on call 24/7
Pharmacy available 24/7
Lab performs neonatal blood draws
