Patient ratios: 1:2
Level I Trauma Center
Mixed Neuro & Cardiac PICU
Epic EMR experience required
Weekend coverage required
Locals accepted
Must be willing to float to other UCSF facilities, potentially within a 75+ mile radius

Required Experience

5 years RN experience
PICU experience required
Teaching hospital experience required
High-acuity pediatric critical care experience
Preferred: Pediatric CVICU experience
Charge experience preferred
Level I Trauma experience preferred

Required License / Certifications

California RN license in hand at submission
BSN required
BLS – AHA
PALS

Key PICU Skills

Ventilator and advanced airway management
Arterial lines, CVP & hemodynamic monitoring
Vasopressors and continuous sedation
Chest tubes
EVD/ICP monitoring & post-neurosurgery care
BiPAP/CPAP & high-flow oxygen
ABG interpretation
Central/PICC line management
Procedural sedation
Pediatric dosage calculations
Post-cardiac surgery experience
CRRT preferred

Submission / Compliance

Prior employment with any University of California medical facility must be disclosed, including dates, units and manager(s)
COVID vaccine + booster required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
