• Note: Precepting may be required during this assignment. No additional preceptor pay is available, as compensation for these responsibilities is included in the all-inclusive bill rate.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Required certifications: AHA BLS; CST preferred, not required
• Experience: 3-5 years in a hospital setting, must have strong, CVOR, general and ENT skills.
• Unit Specific Skillset: 14 OR s and 3 Special Procedure rooms (GI, oncology, dental) ENT, ortho, urology, gen. surg, craniofacial/plastics, neuro, eyes. Summer 2025 - facility is seeing a lot of traumas. Highest surgical volume is currently from 5p-7p.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Guaranteed Hours: 40 - hours not guaranteed week of orientation
• On Call/Call-Back: Call is a minimum of 1 weekday per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend (Friday end of shift-Monday 0700). Call response time is 30 minutes.
• In House on Call: In the event a full-time team member calls out sick or is on PTO, the traveler may be asked to provide in-house on-call coverage. While this is infrequent, the traveler must be prepared to stay overnight at the hospital if requested. They will receive regular hourly pay while on-site or resting and will be eligible for call-back pay if called in to assist with a procedure.
• Weekends: Rotate every other weekend as needed
• Holidays: holiday coverage as needed; Can include in house coverage, on call (beeper) coverage or working for any shift as needed.

• Scrub Colors: provided by facility
• Jewelry (body piercing/body adornment): A single small stud is now permitted to be worn in the nose. No other visible body piercings (e.g. tongue, eyebrow, lips and gauges) are acceptable (except ear piercings). Flesh colored or clear piercing plugs may now be worn.
• Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where the unit is closed and orientation week.
• REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate Degree or Certificate
