JOB OVERVIEW
Seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns in a Level III or higher NICU. The RN will provide safe, evidence-based neonatal care while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns.
- Assess, monitor, and document neonatal patient conditions.
- Implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, and changes in patient condition.
- Respond appropriately to neonatal emergencies and changes in clinical status.
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
- Provide family education and support regarding neonatal care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC.
REQUIREMENTS
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
- Level III or higher NICU experience required
- NRP Certification required
- BLS Certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
