Shift & Position Details

  • Shift Time: 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM / 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Position Type: Travel / Contract
  • Unit Details: 4 rooms (2 cath labs, 1 IR, 1 EP; averaging 15–20 cases per day)
  • Charting System: Meditech (GE MacLab for recording station)
  • Scrub Color: Any solid, professional color

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required (Diagnostic and Interventional lab background required, balloon pump experience required; no first-time travelers)
  • Certifications Required: Active BLS and ACLS
  • Distance Rule: 75-mile radius rule strictly enforced (candidate's address on their driver's license must be submitted in the submittal email)

Duties & Call Requirements

  • Role: RNs circulate (Techs/RTs monitor and scrub)
  • On-Call: 1–2 days per week and every 4th weekend (30-minute response time; holiday call rotates with staff)
  • Floating: None

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
