Title: Respiratory Therapist- NICU/PEDS
Location: Charlotte North Carolina 28203
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12hr Day Shift - 36
Shift Information: 0700-1900
Clinical Interviewing- Yes
On Call, Call Back Requirements: No Call
Weekend Rotation: EOW
Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Floating Requirements: LCH RT's will not be floated to another facility due to the specialty and needs in that facility.

- 247 Licensed Beds
- Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center
- Level IV NICU
- Teaching Hospital
- Chest Pain Center
- Certified Stroke Center
- Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Department Information:
Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team)
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
· Will provide Respiratory care for all pediatric patients throughout facility (this is a children's hospital only)
· Neonate – Pediatric age ranges
● Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
- BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP
- RRT or CRT
- NC Licensure
Skills required:
- 2 years Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team) combined pediatric unit experience in the past 5 years (must've had peds only assignments, not mixed age populations)
- Please specify in offer email if candidate has ED or ICU level of experience and how much.
- IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience
- ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, Gen Med Floors
Support within the Department: Respiratory Leadership
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC (will need to test out of EPIC for faster onboarding)
- Department specific Equipment: ventilators (IPPV/NIPPV)
- Specific equipment to be discussed during interview with manager
Floating: LCH RT's will not be floated to another facility due to the specialty and needs in that facility.
Orientation (facility and unit):
- 3 days of onboarding total for ED and general floor total
- If traveler has experience with multiple intensive care units, they will have one day in each unit they will be working
- All of this will include 2 days of computer, equipment, and walking the facility to get the Client of the land
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: every other
- No call
- Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
- Shift times: 0645-1915/1845-0715
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
