Description
POSITION: RN: NICU Level III
SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

• Shift Hours: 7p-7:30a
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• On Call Requirement: None
• RTO, Block & Scheduling Requests: All RTO and scheduling requests must be included at the time of submission; requests received after submission will not be accepted. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted: Yes. A reduced local rate applies to candidates residing within 50 miles of their primary work location.
• Holiday Requirement: One summer holiday, one winter holiday eve, and one winter holiday night, assigned based on unit needs.
REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP
REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

• Gestational Ages: <24 to >34 weeks
• Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP); Bubble CPAP; HFNC; Vapotherm; ETT/NT suctioning; Chest tube management; Meconium aspiration; RDS
• Dysrhythmia interpretation/management; Arterial line management; Central line care; UAC; UVC; IV starts; Blood product administration; IV vasopressors; Phlebotomy
• Bottle, breast, and gavage feedings; OG/NG/NJ tube placement/management; Breastfeeding support and breast milk handling; APGAR scoring; Developmental care; Thermoregulation; Patient/family education
• Sepsis/Sepsis workup; Isolation precautions/PPE; NAS; Assist with lumbar puncture; Blood glucose monitoring; Hyperbilirubinemia; Phototherapy
• Surfactants; Steroids; Neonatal dosage calculations; Antibiotics/antivirals; Anti-seizure medications
UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Ratios: Days: 1:2; Nights: 1:2; Weekends: 1:2
• Unit Details: Level III NICU with 8 beds. An in-house neonatologist is available 24/7. A Neonatologist and NICU RN attend high-risk deliveries.
• Scrubs: Provided
• Floating: No floating.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Planned time off must not interfere with completing all required pre-start compliance before the scheduled start date.
• PA Fingerprints required (refer to submittal instructions)
