Title: RN – ICU

Location: Odessa, TX 79761

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights 4×12 — 48 hrs/week, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM

Weekend: Every other weekend

 

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Previous travel experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TCAR required
• 6 hours of stroke education required; facility can provide if needed
• EKG course completion required; facility can provide if needed
• Strong ICU experience with ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and IV therapy
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with neuro/trauma patients, CVA/stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy, and neurosurgery preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred

Description:

• ICU RN position in a 20-bed ICU with an average daily census of approximately 15
• Patient ratio in ICU: 1:2–3
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Manage critically ill patients requiring ventilator support, continuous sedation, vasoactive medications, cardiac monitoring, arterial lines, and complex IV therapy
• Experience with neuro ICU and surgical ICU patients is preferred
• Responsibilities may include post-cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac catheterization, sheath removal, TAVR, and multisystem organ dysfunction management
• Strong experience with emergency response, dysrhythmia management, blood products, renal failure, and IV insulin protocols
