Title: RN – Medical Surgical (Med Surg)

Location: Big Spring, TX 79720

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days 3×12 or 4×12 — 36/48 hrs per week, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Schedule: 36/48-hour alternating schedule
Weekend: Every other weekend
 

Requirements:

• 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS preferred
• Med/Surg experience required
• MS/Tele and telemetry experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, ports, peripheral lines, and blood products
• Experience managing oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, insulin, heparin, PCA, and cardiac/vasoactive drips without titration
• Must be comfortable caring for adult and occasional pediatric patients

Description:

• Med/Surg RN position in a 10-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Care for primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients
• Responsibilities include IV therapy, phlebotomy, medication administration, telemetry/cardiac monitoring, oxygen administration, and blood product administration
• Experience with MS/Tele, telemetry, and rapid response/code teams preferred
• Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, social services, and rapid response teams
