Travel Ultrasound Technologist – General Ultrasound
Location: Northern California
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 5×8s | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Schedule: Combination of weekday and weekend coverage

Position Overview
Join a 150-bed acute care hospital as a Travel Ultrasound Technologist and provide high-quality diagnostic imaging across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, pediatric, and other clinical settings. This position offers a diverse caseload and the opportunity to work independently while supporting multiple areas of the hospital.
The typical daily caseload is approximately 8–20 exams, depending on department needs. The technologist may work an outpatient schedule on some days and may also be responsible for covering hospital ultrasound services independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate, high-quality general, abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, renal/pelvic, and small-parts ultrasound examinations.
- Perform studies for adult, pediatric, and infant populations.
- Support ultrasound needs in the Emergency Department, inpatient units, NICU, pediatrics, and outpatient settings.
- Perform portable examinations when required.
- Obtain and document diagnostic-quality images according to departmental protocols.
- Recognize and appropriately document abnormal findings and communicate urgent concerns through established clinical procedures.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, privacy, and infection-control standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, radiologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Float between appropriate imaging areas/like units based on departmental needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently when covering hospital ultrasound services.

Required Qualifications
- Previous travel healthcare experience required
- Experience as a General Ultrasound Technologist in an acute-care or comparable clinical environment
- Ability to perform a broad range of general ultrasound examinations
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient volumes and departmental needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Certifications

- ARDMS – applicable credential
- BLS

- RTO must be provided at the time of submission.
