Description
We are seeking an experienced Pathology Assistant (PA) for a 13-week contract assignment in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Pathology Assistant will work under the direct or indirect supervision of a Pathologist and assist with surgical specimen preparation, gross dissection, frozen sections, and accurate gross description documentation.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of anatomic pathology procedures, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with pathologists, providers, and laboratory staff.
Requirements
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program – Required
- ASCP Certified Pathologists' Assistant – Required
- Candidates who are ASCP exam-ready may be considered, provided certification is obtained prior to the start date.
- Prior grossing experience – Preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomic pathology procedures and laboratory practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work effectively with pathologists, providers, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.
