Description

Role: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Department: Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
Shift: 8-hour days
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
Distance Requirement: Candidate must live at least 50 miles away

📋 Requirements

Required:

  • 2 years of OT experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an A.O.T.A.-accredited school
  • DC OT License
  • BLS
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Highly Desired:

  • Master's degree from an A.O.T.A.-accredited school

🏥 Department / Patient Care

This position is in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit, where the OT will:

  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments
  • Develop individualized, age-appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide occupational therapy treatment based on patient needs
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Document patient evaluations and treatments accurately
  • Adapt to changing assignments and patient needs
