Description
Role: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Department: Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
Shift: 8-hour days
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
Distance Requirement: Candidate must live at least 50 miles away
📋 Requirements
Required:
- 2 years of OT experience
- Bachelor's degree from an A.O.T.A.-accredited school
- DC OT License
- BLS
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Highly Desired:
- Master's degree from an A.O.T.A.-accredited school
🏥 Department / Patient Care
This position is in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit, where the OT will:
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments
- Develop individualized, age-appropriate treatment plans
- Provide occupational therapy treatment based on patient needs
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document patient evaluations and treatments accurately
- Adapt to changing assignments and patient needs
