Lead Medical Technologist (Lead Med Tech)
Location/Assignment Details
- Position: Lead Medical Technologist
- Openings: 1
- Contract Length: 5 months through 12/31/2026 (likely extension)
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays
- Shift: 7:15 AM - 3:45 PM
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Flexibility: Must be open to shift changes and schedule flexibility as needed
Required Qualifications
Certifications & Education
- ASCP Certification (required)
- MT or CLS certification (required)
- Must qualify as a Medical Technologist under the Illinois Clinical Laboratories Code and CLIA regulations
- Completion of an accredited Medical Technology program
- Transcripts and certifications must be provided before submission
Experience
- Recent hospital laboratory experience
- Minimum 7 years of Hematology experience
- Experience as a Generalist Medical Technologist
- Previous Lead or Supervisor experience required
- Experience preparing for CAP inspections
Technical Skills
- Beckman Coulter instrumentation
- Stago coagulation systems
- Flow Cytometry
