Description
- Unit: MRI
- Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
- Scanners: Philips 3T & 1.5T (5.7 software)
- Average volume: 7–11 scans/shift
- PACS/RIS: Change Healthcare Radiology Solutions (McKesson) / Epic RIS
- Common exams: Neuro, MSK, Abdomen, Breast, MRA/MRV, General MRI
- Advanced MRI: Required — Cardiac MRI is not required
- Contrast administration: Required
- Pediatric MRI: Required
- IV starts: Not required
- Patient screening: Handled by the MRI Technologist
- Radiologist coverage: On-site + remote
- Patient transport: Hospital transport team
- Sedation cases: MRI Tech + Nurse
- Cross-coverage: No CT/X-ray coverage required
- Call: 6 AM–3 PM, Saturday/Sunday
- Weekend call: Approximately 4–5 weekends per 13-week assignment
- Holidays: Required if they fall during the assigned call week
- Required certifications: ARRT (MR) + BLS
- Important: ARRT (R) alone is NOT accepted — candidate must hold MRI certification
- NY State license: Required
