- Candidate should be 75 miles from job location to be eligible as a Travel candidate
Description
ER Registered Nurse (RN) - Please note if your traveler lives within 50 miles of facility, the bill rate is $15 less than the travel rate.
Start Date: ASAP
13-week assignment
Schedule
*NO BLOCKED SCHEDULING
* 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each
* 48 guaranteed hours per week
* Every other weekend required
Experience Requirements
* Minimum 1.5 years of experience
* 2 years of recent ER experience required
Clinical Skills Required:
* Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias)
* Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues
* Administer blood products
* Manage central lines
* Start and maintain IVs
* Administer IV sedation and vasopressors
* Care for stroke (CVA) patients
* Care for ventilated patients
* Manage BiPAP/CPAP
* Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
* Follow isolation precautions
* Perform triage
Licensure & Certifications:
* Active state nursing license required (NY or compact)
* If no NY license, must have already applied and provide application date
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
Time-Off Policy:
* All requested time off must be submitted with application
* No time off will be approved after offer
* Traveler must arrange coverage for any additional shifts if needed
Additional Requirements
* No disciplinary issues (“hits”) on nursing license
* Interview is phone or virtual
