Description

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Nights

Location: Enid, Oklahoma
Address: 305 South 5th Street, Enid, OK 73701
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: Varied days
Weekend: Every other weekend required
Distance Requirement: Candidate must live 100+ miles away

Required Qualifications

RRT credentials required
ABG license required
NICU experience required
- Facility does not have a dedicated NICU
- Experience stabilizing neonates is required
- Experience with neonatal ventilation until transport/flight arrival is highly relevant
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
NRP certification

Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care under physician direction, including:

Perform respiratory and cardiopulmonary assessments
Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) and other physiological specimens
Interpret cardiopulmonary and physiological data
Perform diagnostic tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system
Provide and monitor mechanical ventilatory support
Manage artificial airways and provide airway care
Administer medical gases and respiratory medications
Provide bronchopulmonary hygiene and respiratory treatments
Assist with hemodynamic and cardiovascular support
Stabilize critically ill patients, including neonates, while awaiting transport
Provide patient/family education and respiratory rehabilitation as appropriate
