Description
Medical Technologist – Blood Bank
Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30046
Address: 1000 Medical Center Boulevard
Department: 7000V Lab GMC – Blood Bank
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Evenings | 5×8-hour shifts | 40 hours/week
Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Weekend: Every 3rd weekend rotation
Local Candidates: No local candidates within 50 miles
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Technology/Blood Bank
- One of the following certifications required: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS
- Clinical laboratory experience with specimen testing and analysis
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
- Facility will consider Medical Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) only
- Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) will NOT be considered
Holiday Requirements
Must work 2 major holidays out of the following 3:
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
Additionally, must work 1 minor holiday:
- Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- New Year's Eve
