General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
Number of Beds – 38
Level II Trauma Center – General mixed ICU with a variety of patients including: Medical; Surgical, Cardiac and Neurosurgery patients. Post-Operative open-heart patients; VV and VA ECMO, Balloon pump, Impella and CRRT.
Number of Staff – 125
Type of staff:
Day Shift – 1 Charge 16-18 staff
Night Shift – 1 Charge 16-18 staff
Patient Ratios – 2:1 1:1 depending on acuity
Type of equipment – Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, Impella, ECMO – Maquet Cardiohelp and Medtronic Vital Flow; NICOM
EMR - Meditech
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· Minimum 1-year of current acute care ICU hospital experience
· BLS, ACLS & NIH
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
· Prior Meditech experience
· CVICU/CTICU (Care of the immediate post-operative open heart surgery patient) experience.
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Bedside procedures such as Bronchs, GI Scopes, Chest Tube Insertion, Arterial and Central line insertions
· Airway care and frequent drip titrations.
