Requirements

License

Active North Carolina Respiratory Care License
One of the following:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Certifications / Credentials

BLS
ACLS
PALS
NRP

Education

Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
Associate degree or higher preferred

Must-Have Experience

Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric-only respiratory therapy experience within the past 5 years
Experience caring for Neonatal and Pediatric patients
Experience with:
- NICU
- PICU
- Pediatric CVICU
- Pediatric PCU
- Pediatric Emergency Department
- Pediatric Medical Floors
Ventilator management experience including:
- IPPV
- NIPPV
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced pediatric setting

Job-Specific Requirements

First-time travelers accepted
Candidate's permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the facility
Pediatric-only experience required (mixed adult/pediatric experience does not qualify)
Experience with critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients preferred
Ability to work every other weekend
Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved (excluding holidays)
