Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel Contract)

Position Overview
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU / Critical Care)
- Position Type: Contract
- Duration: Flexible (shorter contracts than 16 weeks accepted; 36/48-hour contracts and block scheduling considered)

Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Critical care experience required (unit features 20 beds caring for cardiac/post-angioplasty, DKA, sepsis, complicated abdominal/bowel surgeries, and COVID patients).
- Licensure: Current RN license required. All submissions must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license for the 50-mile radius rule check.
- Charting: EPIC experience is not required; candidates without EPIC will be considered.
Compliance & Facility Details
- Radius Rule: 50-mile radius rule applies (driver's license required with every submittal).
- Float Policy: There is only 1 critical care unit (20 beds). While floating outside the ICU is technically possible, there is a 98% certainty they will not be pulled.
- Patient Population: Roughly 30–50% of patients may be COVID positive (up to 10 beds max in critical care), along with cardiac, DKA, sepsis, and post-op surgical cases.
- Dress Code Policy: No false nails allowed.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
