Position Overview

KTI Health is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This position is within a large cancer treatment setting and requires strong experience with advanced radiation therapy technology.

The ideal candidate will be fully competent with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, Halcyon, and ARIA version 15. Experience with VisionRT or OSMS is preferred but not required.

First-time travelers are welcome if they have experience working in a large department utilizing ARIA and TrueBeam systems.
 

Schedule

Day Shift – Monday through Friday

• Regular Hours: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Schedule: 5x8 hours
• Expected Hours: 40 hours/week
• Lunch: 30-minute lunch break
• On-Call: No
• Weekends: No
• Holiday Weeks: 10-hour shifts may be scheduled to maintain 40 guaranteed hours.
• First Week: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM for onboarding

Variable shifts may occasionally be required based on department needs.
 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience
• 5+ years preferred
• ARRT (T) certification
• Active Ohio Radiation Therapy license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Strong experience in a large radiation therapy department
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate large-department experience

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should be fully competent with:

• Varian TrueBeam
• Varian Halcyon
• ARIA version 15

Preferred:

• VisionRT
• OSMS

VisionRT/OSMS experience is preferred but not required.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments safely and accurately according to physician-prescribed treatment plans.
• Operate and maintain competency with Varian TrueBeam and Halcyon linear accelerators.
• Utilize ARIA for treatment documentation, patient information, and workflow management.
• Verify patient identity, treatment parameters, positioning, and prescribed treatment before delivery.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and immobilization throughout treatment.
• Monitor patients during treatment and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate clinical team.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and department protocols.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Provide compassionate patient care throughout the radiation treatment process.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, and infection-control standards.
