Description

  • Position: PCU / Progressive Care Unit RN – Resource Float Pool
  • Facility: Banner University Medical Center (BUMC), Tucson, Arizona
  • Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Schedule: 36 hours scheduled/week
  • Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours/week
  • Trauma: Level I Trauma experience required
  • Hospital Experience: Large-hospital experience required

Floating Requirements

This is a Resource Float Pool position. The RN may float between:

BUMC-Tucson – Level I Trauma, 625 beds

  • Observation
  • Med-Surg
  • PCU
  • IMC
  • Occasionally ED/PACU for adult-health patients awaiting inpatient beds

BUMC-South – Level IV Trauma, 245 beds

  • Observation
  • PCU
  • Med-Surg
  • Approximately 10 minutes from BUMC-Tucson

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 24 months PCU experience
  • Recent PCU experience within the last 12 months
  • Travel experience highly preferred
  • BLS + ACLS required from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
  • Active Arizona license with no license hits
  • Driver's license required to verify residency
  • Must be willing to float across units and campuses

🚨 Important Eligibility

Arizona residents are NOT eligible for assignments at any Banner facility in Arizona.

RTO / Start Requirements

  • RTO cannot exceed 7 days
  • No RTO during the first week
  • Candidate must be available for the listed start date or within 1 week later
  • RTO must be listed on the Banner cover page
  • Candidate must be pre-closed and ready to accept
