PAY:
Local Pay - $60 to $65/hr on W2.

Travelers Pay: 
Taxable Amount - $43.25/hr on W2
Lodging Stipend - $700 weekly
Meals Stipend - $543 weekly
Weekly Gross - $2,800 weekly including stipend for 36 hours.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-Intensive Care Unit
Location - 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, NY 13502
Duration - 13 weeks contract
Night Shift - 6:30 pm to 7 am // 36 hours 
EMR - EPIC

Floating Required: Yes, To all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding)

Scrub Color: Navy  

Specialty equipment used on unit: IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage) Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, TTM (Artic Sun).

Beds: 42 beds (East 20, West 22), Neuro/Med: 22, CTICU: 6, Surg/Trauma: 14

Common patient diagnosis: Neuro/Med Strokes, Sepsis, AMS, Neuro Intervention 

(TCAR), Resp Failure, CHF, Post Stemi CTICU-CV surg, Cardiogenic Shock, 

AAA Surg/Trauma- Trauma, Major post-op sx 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients in the Intensive Care Unit
Perform continuous patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic, cardiac, respiratory, and neurological status
Administer medications, IV therapies, vasoactive drips, and blood products as prescribed
Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
Interpret cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and diagnostic findings to support clinical decision-making
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in code blue and emergency interventions
Assist with invasive procedures, including central line placement, arterial lines, and bedside procedures
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and critical care processes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and critical care protocols
Advocate for patient-centered care while promoting optimal clinical outcomes in a fast-paced ICU environment.

 

REQUIREMENT:
4-5 years of ICU experience preferred, 2 years min 

Up to date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU and documents travel experience. 

REQUIRED TRAVEL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Must have experience with CRRT and Prismaflex.

Current AHA ACLS , BLS, NIHSS
