Exciting opportunity with PediaStaff for a School Registered Nurse (RN) in the Hillside, IL area for the 2026–2027 school year!
PediaStaff is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support students in a specialized school setting for the full 2026–2027 school year. This is a great opportunity for an RN looking for a consistent, school-based schedule with no nights or weekends!
Job Details
- Pay: $50–$55+ per hour
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week total
- Age group TBD
- Full 2026–2027 school year
- August 2026-June 2027
- Daytime school hours
- In-person position
- Support the health and well-being of students in a supportive, specialized educational environment
Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and medically prescribed services to students
- Administer and document medications and review required consents
- Maintain student health records, immunization information, and related service logs
- Develop Individual Health Care Plans for students with allergies and other medical needs
- Communicate with parents, medical providers, teachers, administrators, and related service staff
- Provide health education and serve as a resource for students and school staff
- Help coordinate health services between the school, families, medical providers, and community resources
Qualifications
- Current and active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- School Nurse endorsement is not required
- Knowledge of child growth and development, medical needs, and health services preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and other professionals
