<h3>RN – Neuro Stepdown/PCU</h3>Schedule: Rotating Days/Evenings/Nights Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week Weekends/Holidays: Required per unit needs Call/Callback/Charge: As neededUnit: Mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit with floor-level patients and an 8-bed high-acuity stepdown unit. Patient population includes brain tumors, spinal disorders, neuroendovascular procedures, epilepsy surgery, and complex stroke/neurosurgical patients.Required Experience:<ul><li>2+ years RN experience</li><li>Stepdown/PCU experience required</li><li>High-acuity stroke &amp; neurosurgery experience required</li><li>Telemetry experience</li><li>Must be comfortable with Q1 neuro checks</li><li>Experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, subdural drains, arterial lines</li><li>Neuro drips including 3% NS and Cardene</li><li>Experience with seizure management and complex neuro patients</li><li>Exposure may include carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clipping, DBS insertion, and VP shunts</li></ul>Requirements/Certifications:<ul><li>Active NY RN license required – NY licenses only</li><li>BLS – AHA</li><li>NIHSS required</li><li>ACLS highly preferred/expected for high-acuity care</li></ul>
