1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
BLS (AHA only)
ACLS (AHA only)
PALS (AHA only)
TNCC
RN License in state of TX or compact
Types of patients/cases in the unit: 16-bed ER with 1 trauma bay and 4 fast-track beds.
High volume of stroke and STEMI patients, with a cath lab that operates 24/7.
We see a lot of MVC traumas, as well as a high psychiatric and geriatric population due to the numerous nursing homes in the area.
The department also treats pediatric patients.
