Position Overview

• Target Start Date: 09/14/2026 (Preferred orientation dates: 9/8, 9/14, or 9/21; 9/8 and 9/14 starts prioritized)
• Shift: Days (3x12 Hours)
• Client Bill Rate: $102.00 / hour (Note: Local radius rule is 50 miles with a 10% reduction to the bill rate)

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 24 months of current operating room (OR) experience in a hospital or medical center setting required. No first-time travelers—must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months.
• Specialized Case Experience: Required experience in General, DaVinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma. Orthopedic scrubbing experience is also required.
• Licensure: Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required at submission (verified via Nursys).
• Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC BLS required.
• Charting: EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the previous 3 years required.

Compliance & Facility Details

• Unit Highlights: 16 OR suites (running 12–14 routinely) as a Level I Trauma Center averaging 35–50 cases per day with <20 minute turnover times. Equipment includes 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation, and Synthes/Stryker for ortho trauma.
• Separation Policy: Past employees of UnityPoint Health (FTE or PRN float pool) cannot work travel in another market within 12 months; the policy does not apply if they previously worked travel at UPH.
• Holiday Requirements: Unless the unit is closed, contractors are required to work 1–2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
• Float Requirements: Travelers are required to float across all local campuses (Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and Blank Children's Hospital).
