  • Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

Job Summary: 

We are looking for a dedicated LVN in San Diego, CA with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for patients, communicating with other medical team members and maintaining accurate medical records.

Duties: 

  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Monitor patients for changes in physical and emotional condition, recognize potential complications, and promptly report significant findings to the RN and care team.
  • Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments, including narcotics, while monitoring and reporting patient responses and adverse reactions.
  • Perform nursing procedures and treatments within the scope of practice, including wound and catheter care, sterile dressing changes, medication administration, specimen collection, and specialized oxygen/suction therapies.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, neurological assessments, intake and output, patient responses to treatment, and other pertinent clinical information in the medical record.
  • Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and accompany patients to off-unit appointments and treatments as needed.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations and maintain patient safety, including care of patients requiring continuous observation or special precautions.
  • Provide patient and family education and reinforce instructions regarding medications, procedures, treatments, and use of medical equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Current and unrestricted LVN License – Any state license accepted
  • Minimum 1 year direct patient care in in the past 3 years
  • BLS – American Heart Association
