A PICU/NICU Respiratory Therapist at WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s is a really strong sell for an RT who wants high-acuity pediatrics, advanced respiratory care, and experience that will strengthen their résumé.
👶Work in the only Level IV NICU in West Virginia
- The NICU is a 52-bed Level IV unit, the highest level of neonatal intensive care, caring for more than 1,000 infants each year. RTs can be exposed to extremely premature infants, extremely low birth-weight babies, congenital/cardiac conditions, surgical patients, neurologic conditions, and severe lung disease.

- The PICU holds the highest Level 1 status from the American Academy of Pediatrics and cares for critically ill infants and children with respiratory failure, severe asthma, pneumonia, sepsis, trauma, cardiac conditions, neuromuscular disorders, and complex postoperative needs.
