Description
Travel MS/Telemetry RN – Medical Surgical Float Pool
Facility: 600-bed facility | 15 Med/Surg Units
Shift: Rotating Days / Evenings / Nights
Schedule: Combination of 8H & 12H shifts
Weekend/Holidays: Every other weekend & holidays required
Call: None
Position Summary
Travel RN will float across 15 Medical Surgical units covering specialties including Neurology, Cardiac, Bariatric, General Medicine, General Surgery, GYN, GU, Hips & Joints, Oncology, Liver/Kidney Transplant, and Vascular.
Requirements
- 3+ years related RN experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Active MA RN License required at submission
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Epic experience required
- CPR/BLS & ACLS – AHA required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Specialty-area expertise preferred
- Basic computer/web application skills required
Clinical Skills
- Telemetry monitoring
- 12-lead EKGs
- Lasix drips
- Blood transfusions
- Nebulizer administration
- RT manages ventilators
Float Pool Details
- Patient ratios approximately 4:1 days to 6:1 nights
- Assignments may change every 2–3 weeks
- Some assignments may be provided as little as 2 hours before shift
- Set schedules cannot be guaranteed
- Must be flexible with rotating shifts
