Job Description

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a night‑shift travel assignment in Boston. This role provides respiratory care, life support, and pulmonary therapy to patients with deficiencies or abnormalities of the pulmonary system. RTs work under physician orders and collaborate closely with the care team to deliver safe, effective treatment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy and life‑support care per physician prescription.
• Manage artificial airways, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator support.
• Perform and interpret respiratory care tests and procedures.
• Document care accurately and timely in the hospital’s charting system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
• Provide care across adult acute‑care units; no floating required.

Required Qualifications

• CRT or RRT (NBRC verification required).
• BLS (AHA).
• 2+ years recent acute‑care RT experience.
• Ability to work independently on night shift.
• Must be separated from any BILH facility for 6+ months (perm, per diem, or contract).

Additional Details

• Orientation every Monday (except holidays).
• All RTO must be submitted at time of submission.
• No local travelers accepted (must live 50+ miles from facility).
