Job Description

The LPN will assist with and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the assigned shift. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality patient/resident care while following current federal, state, and local regulations, facility standards, and direction from the Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise daily nursing activities during the shift.
• Provide and coordinate quality nursing care for residents.
• Follow facility policies, nursing standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Work collaboratively with the nursing team and Director of Nursing.
• Help maintain a safe environment and the highest standard of resident care.

Requirements

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or comparable healthcare setting.
• Experience/training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Active Colorado LPN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check required.

Preferred:

• IV certification for LPNs.

• This is an LTC/SNF-type position, not an acute-care hospital assignment.
• It is specifically a day-shift position.
• The facility is located in rural Gunnison, where public transportation is not available.
• The traveler must have reliable transportation to get to the facility.
