L&D / Maternal Infant RN – CJW Johnston-Willis Hospital | Richmond, VA

Unit: Maternal Infant Unit
Floor: 3rd Floor – Atrium
Beds: 24
EMR: Meditech / CPN
Experience Required: 2+ years Labor & Delivery experience

Patient Ratios

Labor: Typically 1:1
Postpartum: 1:5–6
Nursery: 1:5–6

Required Experience

At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Comfortable caring for:
- Laboring patients
- Vaginal deliveries
- C-sections
- Antepartum patients
- Postpartum mothers
- Newborns

Preferred Experience

2+ years L&D experience
Prior experience in a high-volume LDRP environment

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS
NRP
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification

Unit Support

Typical staffing includes:

Labor RN
Nursery RN
OB Tech
Unit Secretary
Leadership / Educator support on days

Equipment

GE fetal monitoring
Meditech
CPN

Strong fit for an experienced L&D RN comfortable working across labor, delivery, postpartum, nursery, and antepartum care in a busy maternal-infant setting.
