Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required, plus recent acute care hospital experience in the past 2 years.
  • Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC are required. (Certifications do not need to be active at the time of submission, but the candidate must be willing to obtain them).
  • State License: Oregon state license required. (Does not need to be active at submission, but candidate must be willing to obtain).

Facility Details & Policies

  • Overtime & Cancellation: 1.25 multiplier for overtime; 16 hours unbillable. The facility is allowed to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 weeks.
  • Hospital Benefits: Features an in-house Nurse Practitioner in the Employee Health Department dedicated to employees and their dependents.

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
